The Spring Wrap Up
We can already feel summer creeping its way back into our year – the days are heating up, the skirts shorter and the drinks colder – but alas, we can’t forget about the beauty of spring; from the ‘racing’ fashion to the ‘racy’ fashion.
We couldn’t think of a more perfect time for reflection on the season that was other than now… as we sip on a mojito, staring into the sunset...
Here are the trends that sprung in spring:
Many trends popped up for racing season, but what we liked the most was one statement piece – whether it was a bold dress or a patterned suit jacket – with all other pieces of the outfit kept simple and understated.
Stripes are a perennial spring favourite. Particularly black and white stripes, due to its versatility and ability to take you from casual streetwear to night-time glam.
As we all know, spring is synonymous with florals. Florals are all about having fun with fashion and embracing the joy and romance of spring. Here’s a post that we prepared earlier.
The understated elegance of lace makes it such a hit trend for spring. Team white lace up with earthy tones to make your outfit look effortless.
Fringe pieces evoke nostalgia for the 70’s. To get the look right, pair your fringe piece with something modern or minimalist to offset any potential rodeo costume vibes.
How many times have we gone on a night out in heels and wished we were wearing sandals instead? (Us at FS: all the time!)
We may have just found you your sole mate. You can thank us later.
